About The Children's Garden
The Children's Garden is a Primary School, lead by Ms. Kristen, based in Montessori Educational principles for children ages 3 - 6.
Ms. Kristen worked for many years in the public school system in Clark County, Nevada. She worked with students at all age levels and in various capacities. During her time in the public school system she noticed the advanced level of achievement and love of learning that children in Montessori schools were experiencing.
Inspired by these observations, Ms. Kristen became Montessori certified and taught early education in a Montessori school in the Las Vegas area. Her passion for the Montessori philosophy and method lead her to obtaining a Master's of Education (M.Ed.) in Montessori Integrative Learning. She is the only educator in the state of Nevada to hold such advanced Montessori training. In addition, she has dual Bachelor's Degrees in General Education and Special Education.
Wishing to inspire and share a love of learning and personal growth with young children in their early formative years, she founded The Children's Garden: A Montessori School.
An ordinary teacher cannot be transformed into a Montessori teacher, but must be created anew, having rid herself of pedagogical prejudices.

Education for a New World
Ms. Kristen, B.A., M.Ed., has extensive training and experience in education. She holds degrees in General Education as well as Special Education and is AMS (American Montessori Society) certified in early childhood education and is the only educator in Nevada to hold a Master's Degree in Montessori Integrative Learning. Prior to entering the educational field she was a professional athlete who traveled and competed all over the world - an experience that gave her great respect for different peoples, cultures, ways of life and opened her to new ideas, including methods of learning and growth.
